MailChimp allows you to design creative emails easily. We explain to you how to add a MailChimp design to MoreApp with the next 4 steps!

1. Design the MailChimp template

First, go to MailChimp and create a free account to design an email. When designing the email, use the placeholders from the MoreApp Platform. Go to the Email tab and click on the drop down menu Placeholders and copy, for example, the customer placeholder: ${licencePlate1}. Add this placeholder to your MailChimp design.

2. Export the MailChimp template

Go to the Templates page in MailChimp and click on the drop-down menu next to the Edit button to select the template you want to download, then choose Export as HTML. Now the template is downloaded to your computer as an HTML file and you can now edit the template outside of MailChimp in your preferred HTML editor, we use Brackets for this.

3. Configure with brackets

You can delete these three lines between the head and body that MailChimp adds automatically.

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<title>*|MC:SUBJECT|*</title>

Lastly, copy the code and save the code as an HTML file.

4. Adjust the email

Go to the Email tab once you have logged into the MoreApp platform. At the Email tab, fill in the empty fields of the email and check the advanced mode box. Click on Code View and paste the HTML code. Click on Save & Publish

5. Congratulations!

Now you have a nice design for your MoreApp emails!
